The Museum presents the first exhibition ever devoted to French special forces and sheds light on one of the most discreet entities of our armies. From the collective imagination to the reality, it is an opportunity to discover the stories and the daily life of men and women of exceptional destinies.
From the Second World War to the present day, the exhibition highlights the history, modus operandi, specific techniques, equipment and evolution of the special forces. In an immersive and spectacular scenography, the collections of the Musée de l’Armée interact with other objects and documents, some of which will be exhibited to the general public for the very first time.
It also provides us with opportunity to address the way in which special forces are portrayed in cinema.
Co-produced with the Special Operations Command (Commandement des Opérations Spéciales, COS).
This ticket will give you access to our permanent collections, the tomb of Napoleon I (Church of the Dome), current temporary exhibitions as well as the Museum of the Order of the Liberation and the Museum of Relief Plans.
